Brenda Schneider honored

 Superior Town Clerk Brenda Schneider was presented a plaque while attending the Annual Clerks Institute Training in Billings.

The award, given by Laurel Town Clerk, Mary Embleton, reads, “The Montana Municipal Clerks Treasures and Finance Officers Association 2006 Achievement Award is presented to Brenda Schneider Clerk/Treasure Town of Superior, Montana.”

Mary stated that the award is to identify and recognize one of our members who have made a significant contribution to the Clerk/Treasurer’s profession, improvements to Montana Municipal government, and to their community.

Brenda started as a clerk and worked for one year before she became the City Clerk for the Town of Superior. She has been with the Montana Municipal Clerks Treasurers and Finance Officers Association since 1984. She served on the Education Committee for nine years and has been Chair for five years.

Brenda stated that she was very surprised to receive the award. Mary Embleton said that “Brenda is someone who is involved in her community, she is an excellent City Clerk and Treasurer, and has been very instrumental in getting the city grants. This award goes to a very deserving individual.”
