Directions:
From I-90 eastbound, take the Ward Creek Exit, 26, go west 5.7 miles. to the trailhead for trail 889. Hike 1.2 miles up that trail to trail #280. See Lolo West Forest Map.

Narrative:
This trail is a short connecting trail between Ward Creek and Eagle Peak. Several sections of steep trail make this a moderate to difficult climb. Diverse habitats, spring wildflowers and views of alpine lakes make this trail enjoyable.
