Dennis Hildebrand files for county commissioner
Dennis Hildebrand of Superior filed to run for Mineral County commissioner this week as a Republican.
So far, Dennis is the lone Republican candidate and Clark Conrow of Superior is the long Democratic candidate for the central district seat being vacated by Jim Warnken.
"I have an interest in contributing to the county and the community that I live in," he said. "This is a good way to represent the individuals of the county and provide that service and access to the local county government," he said. ...

Clark Conrow files to run for county commission
Candidates have already started filing for state, county, and hospital district offices that will be contested in the 2006 elections.
Longtime teacher and firefighter Clark Conrow filed on Tuesday to run for central district county commissioner.

'Jaws' snafu shows needs, value of Search and Rescue
After Rob Chambers hit a patch of black ice, rolled his pickup just west of the Dry Creek overpass and was pinned inside the cab, Mineral County Search and Rescue successfully cut him out, the ambulance transported him to Mineral Community Hospital, and Life Flight flew him to Missoula where he was successfully operated on for a broken neck.
Another success story for Mineral County Search and Rescue, right?
